1. CORSAIR iCUE H150i ELITE LCD Display Liquid CPU Cooler

This is the latest generation of the CORSAIR iCUE system, and while it doesnt have a lot of new features, it does come with some new colors and a few new fan configurations.

The new iCUE H150i Elite Edition supports Intels latest socket generation, which means it can support all of the newer CPUs that have been released recently.

This is good because the older iCUE H150i model was only compatible with, the older sockets, so I decided to purchase this one.

The first thing you notice about this cooler is that its larger than the previous generation. This isnt a huge issue, but the cooler is slightly heavier too.

That said, its not a massive difference, and plenty of other coolers weigh less. The cooler is also a little bit taller and has a bigger pump head.

The pump head looks very similar to the one that came with the previous version of the cooler, but the shape of it has changed, and the blades have been rearranged.

The LED ring around the pump head is a little bit different too. It now has 24 RGB LEDs, rather than the previous 16.

On the front of the cooler is a strip of red LEDs that light up when the pump is on. This is a nice touch, making it easier to spot the cooler when its in use.

In addition to the red LEDs, four other LEDs glow blue, white, yellow, and green.

The cooler has two fan headers located on the rear of the cooler. The fan headers are connected to three different fan configurations, each with a different number of fans.

These include the fan configuration that comes with the standard version of the cooler (two fans), the fan configuration that comes with the iCUE H150i Elite Edition (four fans), and the fan configuration that comes with the iCUE H170i (six fans).

A third configuration includes six fans but doesnt come with any LEDs. This is the fan configuration that comes with the iCUE H160i Elite Edition.

The H150i Elite Edition comes with four fans, and the iCUE H160i Elite Edition comes with six.

When the fan configuration changes, the pump head’s LEDs also change. This is a nice touch because its much easier to find the cooler if you know what type of fan configuration you need.

As with all other iCUE coolers, the iCUE H150i Elite Edition also includes a CORSAIR iCUE COMMANDER CORE Smart RGB Lighting and Fan Speed Controller.

This is a great feature, and it makes the cooler much more customizable. You can control the speed of the fans, change the color of the lights, and control the brightness of the lights.

The iCUE Commander Core can also control other devices, such as your PC, smartphone, and tablet. It can even be used to turn your PC into an internet router, which is pretty neat.

This also allows you to change the colors of the lights on the iCUE H150i Elite Edition, and you can even use it to sync the colors with other iCUE-compatible devices.

The MasterLiquid 280 is compatible with both AMD and Intel platforms.

The pump has a 140mm design, which means itll fit most motherboards, including the newer ones.

The pump is also compatible with all water blocks, making it a versatile option.

I had no problems with leaking when I used the MasterLiquid 280, but I have a few issues with it.

First, the pump is quite hard to open. Im not sure if its because of how the pump is designed, but its hard to remove.

Second, the pump is quite noisy.

And finally, its not very easy to adjust the flow of the coolant.

The MasterLiquid 280 is affordable, but its not the best. I recommend checking out our top pick for more options.

Pros

  • Excellent color match; highly accurate color matching

This water cooler is perfect for anyone looking for an affordable and reliable way to cool off their PC.

Pros

  • Easy to install; no tools required
  • It has a good warranty; a 5-year warranty
  • It has a nice RGB lighting
  • It has a great price

Cons

  • It could be better; it does not have good looks

5. Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE CPU Air Cooler

The PA120 SE is one of the best in the industry for its price, especially for a dual-tower model. I like that this cooler is modular, meaning you can add extra fans and even a radiator if you want to increase the cooling capacity.

It comes with a PWM fan controller, which makes the fan speed easily adjustable. The fan speed range is from 0 to 1550 RPM, and the maximum fan speed is about 1000 RPM.

I was able to get this cooler to run at about 1160 RPM on my Core i5-7600K. The fan is very quiet, and the noise level is very low, around 25.6 dB.

The thermal paste is a bit thin but adequate for a dual tower cooler. Its the same paste that I use for my Corsair H110i Pro.

You get three 8-pin PCIe power connectors, so theres plenty of power for the cooler.

Its well-made and looks good. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good budget cooler that will be able to handle a high load.

Pros

  • It has a slim and compact design
  • Good performance
  • Suitable for all types of systems
  • Suitable for AMD and Intel CPUs
  • The fan is quiet

  • I couldnt find any cons

Things to consider before buying the Best CPU coolers for AMD Ryzen 5 5600X

When you’re shopping for a new CPU cooler, it’s important to think about what you’re looking for in a CPU cooler. Many different factors need to be considered, and the overall look and performance of a CPU cooler can make a huge difference in how you perceive your CPU cooler.

CPU Cooler Features

One of the first things you need to consider when you start your CPU cooler comparison is what features you’d like. There are three different types of coolers you’ll find on the market passive, semi-passive, and active.

Passive coolers rely on natural convection to dissipate heat from the processor. While this type is generally quieter, it’s not very efficient and has a limited lifespan.

Semi-passive coolers rely on natural convection and a fan to dissipate heat from the processor. This type costs more and is more efficient, but it’s also louder.

Active coolers have a fan that continuously pushes air across the processor. This type is by far the loudest and the most expensive, but it’s also the most efficient and offers a lifetime warranty.

While all three types of coolers are effective, it’s important to know what you’re looking for when you start your CPU cooler comparison.

Features to Consider

A few features will determine the type of cooler you want to go with.

Size and Style

This is one of the most important considerations when comparing CPU coolers.

You’ll want to look at the size of the cooler, as it will determine how easy it is to fit it into your case. You’ll also want to see what style it has, as this will tell you if it’s quiet, looks good, or has a large radiator.

The cooler will also impact the noise, so make sure you know the noise level in the vicinity of where you’ll be using it.

Fan Noise

Another important thing to consider when comparing CPU coolers is how much noise the fan makes.

A noisy fan is a big turnoff for many people, so it’s important to know if the fan is going to be too loud or not. You’ll also want to know how well it filters noise.

Noise is also a factor of airflow, so make sure you know how powerful the fan is and how much air it’s pushing.

Thermal Performance

A third important thing to consider when comparing CPU coolers is the cooler’s thermal performance.

How much heat a cooler can dissipate and how quickly it can do it are two of the most important factors in determining the overall effectiveness of the cooler.

Other factors to consider include whether the fan will have to spin constantly to keep the processor at a safe temperature or if the heat sink will block airflow.

Cooling and Noise

There’s a tradeoff between the fan’s noise and how well the heat sink keeps the CPU cool.

While the fan’s noise will certainly affect how quiet the cooler is, the more noise a fan makes, the easier it is to notice.

The noise and airflow are also affected by the fan speed. Generally speaking, a lower fan speed will reduce noise and increase airflow, lowering the heat the cooler can dissipate.

Performance and Price

If you’re looking for a budget-friendly cooler, you’ll want to look at semi-passive or passive coolers.

These are generally less efficient than active coolers but are also significantly cheaper.

An active cooler is generally a good choice if you’re looking for something a little pricier.

Cooler Compatibility

If you plan on upgrading your current CPU cooler to a new one, make sure you know what fits into your case.

Different cases have different clearance requirements, and some will have difficulty fitting a new cooler in.

If you plan on building a new computer, make sure you know what the dimensions of your case are so you can properly select a cooler that will fit.

Conclusion:

To conclude, we will show you our choice for the best CPU cooler for the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X processor. We chose the Noctua NH-D15 because it has low noise and a price below the average. The other advantage of Noctuas coolers is that they feature many fans, making them capable of dissipating heat from larger surface areas. This means that they require less power to operate.
